Uses: Water gardens, ponds, planters that won’t drain.

Uses Notes: If the plant is put into a pot, plugging the hole or holes in the bottom of the pot  is suggested to keep as much water as possible in the pot. This method can help to control the spread of cattails as well.

Maintenance Notes: Broad leaf cattail is considered aggressive, should only be introduced with a plan for how to control it.  Site plants carefully because roots go deep and are hard to eradicate once established.
